BIOGRAPHY

Always together with his writing partner Yvon Ouazana, Jean-Pierre Festi (pseudonym of Jean Festinesi) composed and arranged songs for various artists in the late 1960s and early 1970s, including Johnny Hallyday, Jean Vallée, Rika Zaraï, Annie Cordy, Mary Roos, and Gigliola Cinquetti. Jean-Pierre Festi passed away at the age of 40 in 1976.

EUROVISION SONG CONTEST

Jean-Pierre Festi and Yvon Ouazana arranged the Swiss entry to the 1972 Eurovision Song Contest, ‘La chanson de mon amour’, composed and performed by Véronique Müller. Festi conducted the orchestra for her in Edinburgh, where Müller came eight among eighteen competing acts.
