Note 1 - Three semi-finals, held between February 19th and March 5th, 1983, each showcasing nine entries, performed by three different artists (three songs each), resulted in nine songs in total - three from each heat - qualifying for the grand final. In the semi-finals, there was no orchestra present on stage; instead, all songs were performed to tracks pre-recorded in the studio

Note 2 - After winning the national final, the winning song, 'Rendez-vous', was re-arranged by Walter Verdin in cooperation with his brother Joris Verdin, with strings being added to the score. At the instigation of conductor Freddy Sunder, a small piccolo line was added in the course of the rehearsals of the international final in Munich
